Office Precautions and information Regarding Covid19

Please observe the precautions listed and please ask us if help or questions arise in regards to this infectious state we are in.

Patients of Cox Chiropractic Medicine,
In order to keep you and our staff safe and reduce risks of transmission the following precautions will be observed:
We are following a thorough cleaning process for all areas of our office, including the waiting room, reception area, exam rooms, adjusting tables, doors and surfaces, and restrooms.
We do not allow staff members who are sick, or have sick family members to come to the office.
We will ask patients to inform us:
  • If you or anyone in your family has a fever, or has had one in the last two weeks.
  • Have you or family members had any symptoms of a cold or flu? Symptoms include fever, tiredness and a cough that isn’t necessarily productive. They may also have or have had aches and pains, runny nose or nasal congestion, and vomiting or diarrhea.
  • Have you traveled abroad in the last two weeks?
  • Have you been near anyone who has potentially had the virus through their own family or work contact? People can be contagious without symptoms.
We ask high-risk patients to delay if possible, however we do have isolated rooms to keep those at higher risk apart from regular rooms.
High risk patients are those who:
  • Are undergoing chemotherapy.
  • Are immunocompromised.
  • Are diabetic.
  • Have heart disease.
  • Have high blood pressure.
  • Have asthma or another respiratory issue.
  • Are over 60 years of age.
We are appropriating appointments to allow time for thorough cleaning between visits.
We ask patients to wait in their car (rather than the waiting room) until it’s time for their appointment.
We ask anyone accompanying the patient to wait in the car during the appointment if possible.
We have removed magazines and other printed reading material.
We have remove toys or other diversions you may have in the office for children.
After all these precautions we feel strongly that your best defense against infection, all kinds, is a strong immune system. Your immune system will be strongest when your lifestyle includes:
  1. Healthy diet: High in whole organic fruits, vegetables, pastured meats, and healthy fats.
  2. Avoidance of sugar, and refined carbohydrates, bread, pasta, pizza, cereal, pop, baked goods(cookies, pie, cake, brownies, danish, donuts, etc).
  3. Sugar intake will suppress white blood cells from being able to bind strongly to Vitamin C for up to 5 hours.
  4. Minimize Analgesics, NSAIDS, tylenol, ibuprophen, aleve, etc. These can shut down antibody production up to 90%.
  5. Get regular exercise: urge minimum of 30 mins of walking per day, HIIT(high intensity interval training is very good as well).
  6. Sleep, proven to be essential to health and loss of it leads to poor productivity and weight gain.
  7. Optimize you Vitamin D levels. 50+ng/dl is minimum recommended.
  8. Keep socially connected while being safe, and keeping positive mental attitude!
